Wednesday, July 20, 2005 The Fried Steam Fish Theory... courtesy of Mr Sim Yong Meng What is the fried steam fish theory? It is a way of saying "Double K.O." ; "confirm hit/kill" etc. In theory, in order to ensure a fish is truly dead, you steam it. However, the fish could possibly still be alive, so you fry it in order to ensure that it is yummilicious~~ Extending this theory...... For example... In general how to arrive at a result of 0? Usually anything divided by 0 other than 0 is 0, ie. 0/(0!) = 0 . So how to ensure that a result will definitely be 0? In another case, any number other than 0 divided by "infinity" TENDS to zero. So to ensure that a result will be zero, a infallible equation (as of 2005) is zero/infinity ! Marvellous, isn't it? |
